The St Bernard's First Class Juvenile club was formed in 1949 the same year as St Bernard's Boys Club. As the senior team had ceased to exist in 1947 it could be said that the new clubs became successors to the old club. The Scottish First Class Juvenile Association catered for players under the age of 27 yars but it is a grade of football that no longer exists having ceased in the Edinburgh area in the late 1950s. Andrew Clark Wilson formed the club ably assisted by John Reid who took over and was with them for their entire existance. The club continued despite the demise of first class juvenile football and they joined the Lothian Welfare FA until they dropped out in 1974. The Saints were successful in both grades and in welfare football were Scottish Cup finalists in 1960 having won the Scottish Consolation Cup in the two previous seasons. They were Lothian Welfare League champions in three successive seasons 1961, 1962 and 1963.
